 Mens caps are becoming more popular across all age groups with so many more styles now being available. One of our most popular mens caps is the flat cap, the list of colour ways is endless, the choice of material & various styles is also evergrowing. The flat cap can be traced as far back as the 14th century mainly here in UK & also in Italy. The original flat cap is identical to what we now refer to as a traditional flat cap, in a tweed or country check. In the 19th & 20th century the newsboy cap was becoming more popular and still is today, originally being worn by paperboys and made from leather, identical to the Stetson burney leather newsboy cap. A new addition to our mens cap range is the duckbill style flat cap, which has a deeper more contoured crown and a slightly longer, flatter peak. It is becomming a bit of a trend setter, bailey of hollywood's whole 2011 cap collection is based around the duckbill style. You will find the shape varies from different manufacturers, stetsons duckbill caps have a longer peak while bailey and jaxon's mens duckbills have a much more rounded look to the peak. The patterns used for the duckbill caps can be outrageous or neutral there is certainly something for everyone. Baseball caps are still the top choice in mens caps being worn for athletic uses or purely for fashion and casual use. The choice of styles is so vast, we like the new era cap collection as they offer a great range of liscenced caps as well as the flat peak and hundreds of adjustable styles. An alternative to the baseball cap is the military cap which has a flat crown and a more structured wider look in appearance, many hat companies use the military style instead of the baseball style as it appeals to both sexes.
